The “DIY” (Do It Yourself) project is designed to empower women in rural areas by providing them with practical DIY skills. Through hands-on workshops and educational resources, the project aims to foster social connections, promote economic independence, and challenge gender stereotypes.
The General Objectives are:
- Increase women’s confidence and independence in performing DIY tasks.
- Enhance women’s ability to effectively carry out home maintenance tasks.
- Strengthen social connections and community cohesion.
- Challenge stereotypes and promote inclusivity in the DIY sector.
- Ensure the long-term dissemination of the project’s results for ongoing benefit.
Main Outcomes:
- Increased confidence and independence of participating women in tackling DIY tasks. As well as improve their skills.
- Improved ability to carry out home maintenance tasks. And acquire a positive attitude towards DIY tasks.
- Have stronger social connections and greater community cohesion.
- Reduction of stereotypes and increased inclusivity in DIY.
